wrote on the Government Relations: British Columbia Forum wall: Together with Ryan Bruce and Rob Schmidt of CLAC and Ken Bearg of Canada Works, we had great meetings in Victoria fighting against various aspects of the proposed NDP bill that would modify the labour code. We are encouraging the BC Green Party leader Andrew Weaver (pictured - center) to work with the BC liberal party to push through two amendments to the bill: (1) that the construction industry will also have 3 year open seasons like all other sectors and (2) that, after a successful raid, contracts with two or more years remaining will only be reviewed in extraordinary circumstances.
